We hope to submit for outline planning permission in mid 2012 subject to a range of specialist studies on which work is in progress now. The determination period is likely to take 12-18 months.
Once initiated it is intended that construction will be phased, probably starting at the west end of the beach and working towards the east.
Once outline planning permission is granted, discussion will be sought with development partners. The market will determine when construction begins and this will be subject to detailed planning applications for each phase. Sea and beach sports facilities will be built in advance of the main development. We intend to have temporary sea sports facilities installed by summer 2012 and beach sports by 2013.
